Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry stay busy not only in their careers, but also at home.
The NBA star and cookbook author are the parents of four children.
On Sept. 10, Ayesha Curry shared a photo of their family of six on Instagram, writing, “My little family. So grateful.”
Earlier this summer, Ayesha Curry and the couple’s children traveled to Paris to cheer on the Team USA men’s basketball team at the 2024 Olympics.
Steph Curry scored 24 points to lead the way to a gold medal win over France in the final on Aug. 10.
The gold medal win came less than three months after the birth of Steph and Ayesha Curry’s youngest child, a boy named Caius Chai.
When she announced her pregnancy in March, Ayesha Curry wrote on her Sweet July website that she was slowing down and fully embracing the experience, noting it would likely be her “last pregnancy.”
Ayesha and Steph Curry first met as teenagers in 2003. They reconnected in 2008 and eventually married on July 30, 2011.
Ayesha Curry celebrated their 13th anniversary in July on Instagram, writing, “13 years of being married to the love of my life. I am so excited to see what the next decade brings. 4 babies, 16 years together and a whole lot of memories later and here we are… lucky 13. It just gets better and better. Let’s freaking go!!!!!!”
In addition to Caius, the Currys are the parents of Riley, Ryan and Cannon Curry.
In a 2022 interview, Steph Curry said his kids are more concerned with him being a dad than his award-winning basketball skills.
“I don’t think they care too much about how many times the ball goes in the basket,” he said, according to People magazine, adding that at home, “you’re just dad and that’s the best part about it.”
Riley Curry, the couple’s eldest child, was born July 19, 2012.
Riley captured the nation’s attention in 2015 when she was adorably featured in her father’s press conferences during the NBA playoffs, interjecting multiple times from Steph Curry’s lap.
“You’re too loud daddy, be quiet,” she said in one press conference.
Ryan Curry was born July 10, 2015.
In an Instagram post celebrating Ryan’s 8th birthday in July 2023, Ayesha Curry gushed over her second daughter, calling her “My Ryan.”
“My little night time baby. Full of energy, spunk, love and charisma. This girl makes our world go round,” she wrote.
Canon Curry was born July 2, 2018.
In a birthday post from 2022, Steph Curry showed love for his son with a sweet caption.
“You light up the room and already bring joy to everyone you meet,” he wrote. “@ayeshacurry and I got you forever. Happy 4th birthday #youngwolf.”
Ayesha Curry told People she and her husband chose their eldest son’s name on their honeymoon.
“We had his name picked out and then we had another girl’s name picked out that we didn’t end up using for Riley,” she said. “But Canon always stuck with us. France is one of our favorite places to vacation, and so his name’s actually French and it means young wolf, which Stephen loved because we kind of consider ourselves a wolf pack.”
She added of the name Canon, “We fell in love with the name. We didn’t know anybody with that name, and we thought it was special. So seven years later, we finally got to use it.”
Caius Curry was born May 11, 2024.
Ayesha Curry wrote in an essay announcing her pregnancy with Caius that she and her husband both decided they wanted to expand their family again.
“For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done,” she wrote on her Sweet July website at the time. “And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.”
“For me, the decision came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing. I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.’ But nobody was forgotten,” she wrote. “It started to turn my brain a little bit. Maybe somebody was missing. So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family.”
